Some notable features of Dr. Hannah and SoundMind’s work

  • SoundMind was the first psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy clinic on the entire Eastern Seaboard, opening in 2020 with Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy with a plan to bridge to MDMA and psilocybin when legal

  • SoundMind was the first program in the nation to offer a year-long psychedelic facilitator training program which was open to licensed clinicians as well as other talented students. The program began in 2019 and has grown in length and size since then

  • SoundMind’s curriculum was used to submit to Oregon Health Authority to get measure 109 approved, the first program in the nation (and world!) to approve legalized use of psilocybin. This was because no other program existed yet!

  • SoundMind and Dr. Hannah have been very involved in other state and federal measures, including initiatives in Colorado and New Jersey. She advises legislators and lobbyists around proposed regulation

  • SoundMind has trained over 300 students, many of which are now leaders in the field

  • SoundMind is the only large national training program that is fully independent – with no investors (by choice) and not backed by a major university. SoundMind has not partnered with Pharmaceuticals (again, by choice). It is women-run and over 300k has been given to educating and treating those from marginal identities. Being independent gives full freedom and no ulterior motives.

  • SoundMind conducted the first in-house psilocybin training practicum for a legal facilitation license, making international history!

  • SoundMind has pioneered using training videos of patients and practicum experiences to help new factilitators understand all the permutations of difficult experiences and kinds of psychedelic healing
