Chief Operations Officer

We're seeking a highly qualified individual to help us in our mission to bring equity, ethics, and innovation to the field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. The position is full-time and can be done remotely and/or in-person.



Full Job Description:

SoundMind is an organization dedicated to bringing equity, ethics, and innovation to the psychedelic renaissance through clinical services, facilitator training, research, and public education. As the COO, you will report directly to the Founder/Executive Director and be responsible for managing all financial, operational, and administrative duties, while recommending areas of improvement to make our operations more efficient. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. A master's degree, such as an MBA, is highly preferred.

Job Requirements:

  • Oversee daily operations of the company’s major functions, including educational programs, ketamine clinic, training retreats, research and development entity, and real estate holdings

  • Manage budgeting, finance, accounting, and payroll functions

  • Work with legal, insurance, and contracting personnel

  • Manage all hiring, firing, and human resource management activities

  • Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures

  • Work with senior leadership to help set the organization's overall strategic direction

  • Advise on matters related to the legal and regulatory environment governing psychedelics

  • Demonstrate a dedication to and passion for the profound impact of psychedelic healing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required

  • Master's in business administration, finance, or relevant field preferred

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and people communication skills required

  • Must be able to juggle competing demands and work with limited oversight

  • Relevant work experience in healthcare/clinic management and business settings preferred
